Ashanti Estate | Tasha Seccombe Photography
***ONLY REAL FRESH FLOWERS USED***
Such a wonderful collaboration between creatives in our ever amazing industry!! The idea really to (again) push the boundaries a little…and give bride’s some visuals to consider a Winter/Autumn wedding. We love the richness and the darker hues that comes into play when one opts for a cooler wedding day.
We were very privileged to have had this shoot featured exclusively on America’s biggest on-line wedding blog www.strictlyweddings.com. In their words: “What intrigues us most about these looks are the balanced contrasts each contain: soft femininity charged with bold colour; sophistication with a strong dose of daring; organic compositions with unexpected twists.”
With this shoot we aimed to challenge our clients ever so slightly, to show brides that you can be a little daring without losing that really sophisticated gorgeous look.
Incredibly talented photographer and friend Tasha Seccombe swept us away with these images, you are amazing Tash, and at the same time so professional to work with. We teamed up with Tasha for another two shoots, so watch this space! :)
Talk about friends….Yolande du Toit, gorgeous gal inside and out has become part of the “shoot furniture”, as we not only yearns for her fun personality on site, but we just need her to bring her make-up & hair skills to the table. I say no more.
Ashanti Estate was the perfect venue to host this – the tall opulent building with its grainy textures made the perfect backdrop – not to even mention the surrounding mountains!!
Valery from Agape Weddings have the most incredible style when it comes to clothing and decor! She added her planning and coordination skills to the mix, which (obviously!!) ensured just the most incredible results. Thanks for your amazing input….you really do know a thing or two about “pretty stuff”!! :)
Again, collaborating with Kate from Something Different ensures an extremely unique product. Love love love putting our heads together and see how floral can be added to their already unique decor and lighting concepts.
Lastly…our model…my beautiful beautiful sister Silke. You are something else!! I have decide you have the most beautiful shoulders and neck in the history of shoulders and necks. Thank you for being such a trooper, playing model is extremely tiring (especially for a food technician!!) and we appreciate the fun factor you brought to this day.
